How to build your hammock set

  1. Chose the fabric of hammock:
  • 210T/70D parachute nylon, it is the most popular fabric in the market. It is durable and strong enough to hold above to 300KG(700lbs).
  • 210T/70D rip-stop nylon, it is a stronger fabric than parachute nylon, and is the top quality fabric for hammocks.

 

  1. Chose the sizes of hammock
  • Single hammock: the most popular size is 270*140cm. Of course, there are more sizes available like, 260*140cm, 280*140cm, 290*140cm, 270*160cm, 280*160cm etc.
  • Double hammock: the most popular size is 300*200cm, and there are also more sizes available: 290*200cm, 320*200cm etc.

 

  1. Chose the Carabiners:
  • Silver&Black 8cm Carabiner: it is 1.0 version of hammock carabiner, and because of the sharpness of the opening, it was used less and less.
  • D shaped 8cm Carabiner: it is the most popular carabiners for hammock. Logo can be lased on.
  • Aluminum 8cm Wire Gate Carabiner: it is ultra light and heavy duty. There are 2 different weight loading styles, 5KN and 12KN. (5KN equals 500KG, 12KN equals 1200KG)

 

 

  1. Chose the hammock connectors

 

1) With Nylon Ropes:  Heavy Duty Ropes, Load Capacity over 1000lbs

2) With Webbing Straps: Different Straps have different load capacity from 500lbs to 1000lbs.

 

  1. Chose the Tree Hanging Kit.
  • Nylon Ropes: Common length of rope is 2m of each. Of course, the length of ropes can be customized.   Load capacity of ropes over 1000lbs. The complaint from most users is that the ropes are not easy or convenient to hanging.
  • Webbing Straps with Loops: 2.5cm wide polyester webbing, can be made to any length with any numbers of loops. The popular size of straps are 3m with 14+1loops, 2.8m with 5+1 loops. The less loops, the lower in price.
